Legendary filmmaker T.Rajendar known for his allround abilities as an entertainer has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for a few weeks. He is ailing from a serious stomach issue and doctors have adviced further treatment abroad. T. R's son Simbu flew to the US a few days ago to make arrangements at a prominent hospital there.

TR, his wife Usha, son Kuralarasan and daughter Ilakkya will be flying today June 14th to the USA and return only after his complete recovery. Legendary actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam president visited TR at his residence earlier this morning to wish him well.

Kamal shared a photo of himself with Rajendar and Kuralarasan and wrote on Twitter "My dear brother comeback with good health". Though the two stalwarts of Tamil cinema have opposing political ideologies they have remained good friends over the years.

Simbu was a special guest at the 'Vikram' audio launch and he stated that his father is his guru off screen and Kamal is his guru on screen and he learnt everything from him. Kamal also shared that when he entered politics, T.R. rushed to his house in tears, embraced him and said that it is Tamil cinema's loss.
