Last week there was so much of buzz around unconfirmed reports that Kamal Haasan has donated his income from acting in a Television commercial to the Petraal Than Pillaiya Trust that works for the rehabilitation of AIDS affected children. However, the PTP trust had denied receiving any such donation from the acting legend.

Around the same time, the 'Ulaganayagan' has made a cash donation which has come to light only now.

We all know that Kamal Haasan participated as the chief guest along with veteran actors Sivakumar and Manorama in the event organised by Cinema Journalist Association on October 2, 2015.

Kamal and Sivakumar presented Life Time Achievement Award instituted by the Association to senior film journalists Pesumpadam Sampathkumar, Filmnews Anandan and Randor Guy.

Apart from this, Kamal donated Rs. 1 lakh each to five journalists who are members of the Cinema Journalists Association and also donated Rs.1 lakh for the development of the association.
