Apart from his acting and political career, Udhayanidhi Stalin is an accomplished film producer in the Tamil film industry. He bankrolls and distributes many biggies through his banner Red Giant Movies. The production house teamed up with Lyca Productions to revive Kamal Haasan & Shankar's long-pending project 'Indian 2'.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is busy with the promotion work of his new film 'Maamannan', shared some exciting updates regarding his production venture 'Indian 2'. He said, "Indian 2 has turned out to be extraordinary, we got to see some of the footage from the film. Kamal sir and Shankar sir are very happy with the output."

"Plans are on to release the film in April 2024, CG works are going on. Also, there are plans for Indian 3. The possibility of threequel will be discussed after the release of Indian 2. There are 20 to 25 days of shooting left for the completion of the filming," added Udhay. Kamal Haasan will start acting in Prabhas' 'Project K' after Indian 2.

'Indian 2' has an ensemble cast that includes Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Manobala, Vivek, Samuthirakani and many others. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, Rathnavelu is the cinematographer, T. Muthuraj is the art director and A. Sreekhar Prasad is the editor.
