Legendary Carnatic musician and singer Dr.Balamuralikrishna passed away and his death has left the entire music fraternity in a state of mourning. The departed soul has left a strong imprint in Tamil and Telugu film industry as a singer and music composer.
Tamil film industry doyens like Isaignani Ilaiyaraja and Kamal Haasan are his ardent admirers. Kamal considers Balamuralikrishna as Guru for teaching him Carnatic music.
