Veteran actor Kamal Haasan has never shied away from speaking out his mind even if it would mean pulling himself into a controversy. Now he has criticized a deceased film celebrity for stating that his food habit was the reason for his death.
Noted Malayalam Film director Rajesh Pillai had passed away a couple of weeks ago. He was just 41 when he breathed his last and the reason of death was reported as Liver Cirrhosis. One of his friends revealed that Pillai died because of excessive consumption of aerated drinks and junk food a statement which was denied by others close to the deceased filmmaker.
However Kamal Haasan has recently come out in open to assert that it was the addiction to aerated drinks that took away the life of the 'Traffic' director at a very early age.
Rajesh Pillai was the Assistant of Kamal's good friend and 'Chanakya' director T.K.Rajeev Kumar. Kamal said he liked Rajesh and was having lot of hopes on him. He recalled how the young director would keep eating burgers and aerated drinks as if his life was dependent on them. The Ulaganayagan also participated in the 100th day celebration of Pillai's super hit film 'Traffic' and he was about to remake it in Tamil, which however went to some other producer.
Kamal Haasan further said that someone's mistake could not be forgiven because he or she was dead. He also said that Rajesh Pillai's death is a caution to everyone who consume aerated drinks often.
