Legendary actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan was under treatment for COVID 19 infection from November 22nd at a private hospital in Chennai. On December 1st the hospital issued a statement citing that he has recovered from a mild attack of the virus and that he will be discharged on December 2nd. It was advised that he isolate at home on the 3rd and resume normal activity from the 4th.
Accordingly Kamal shot for weekend episodes of 'Bigg Boss 5' on Saturday and Sunday at the EVP Gardens where the set is erected. A banner was kept by the producers at the entrance welcoming him back from his health related setback.
Radhakrishnan the health secretary of Tamil Nadu has stated to the media that an explanation will be sought from Kamal Haasan for participating in a public event breaking the COVID 19 protocol. The existing rules are that even if a person has isolated himself in the hospital he has to do the same at home for seven days after recovery and the resume his or her day to day activities.
Since Kamal went straight to the EVP Gardens to shoot for 'Bigg Boss 5' it is said that he may have violated the coronavirus protocol and his clarification in this regard is awaited.
