Released in 2015, the movie Uthama Villain directed by Ramesh Aravind and starring Kamal Haasan was critically acclaimed and the performance of Kamal Haasan as the actor Manoranjan was particularly appreciated.

The movie revolved around a superstar who has only few days to live and wants to do a film with his mentor which will make people remember him for long. K Balachander made his last film appearance in the movie which also starred Andrea Jeremiah, K Viswanath, Parvathy and Urvashi.

Now, director and actor Parthiban, sharing a video of a particular sequence from Uthama villain where Kamal Haasan's character reveals his medical condition to his son, and has tweeted that it was Kamal's best ever performance. Parthiban tweeted "Kamal Haasan is a best actor, and this is his best ever performance, the best among his movies released so far".
