Recently, during the Papanasam` press meet Kamal Haasan spoke about the importance of two wheeler riders wearing helmet. Kamal stressed that since we wear footwear to protect our legs similarly we should wear helmet to protect our heads and it is really a shame that a law has to be passed for such a basic necessity.

Ulaganayagan always does his bit for the society, be it participating in blood donations, Clean India Initiative, AIDS awareness, Cancer awareness and many more and his speech about helmet too was lauded widely, but some fans noted that in the trailers of Papanasam` Kamal is not wearing the helmet and posted on social media about it.

Not one to back off Kamal has issued an apology stating that the scenes were shot many months back and the law was not passed at that time, but still he did not want to use it as an excuse and graciously accepted his mistake.
