While there are reports that Kamal and Maniratnam will be doing a film together soon the Ulaganayagan speaking to Bollywood Press let out that his next film after Thoongavanam` is going to be in Hindi titled Amar Hain` and it is the same multi-starrer script he had written six years back and planned to make in Tamil as Thalaivan Irukiran` last year.

Amar Hain` will be on the lines of the Hollywood classic The Untouchables` and will deal with issues of the nexus between politicians and the underworld. As of now Saif Ali Khan has been confirmed for the role of one of the heroes and the talks are on with a few others for the other positive roles. Amar Hain` will probably be the first film in which Kamal Haasan will play an out and out negative role after almost three decades and the film will go on floors in August as soon as 'Thoongavanam' is completed.
