Kamal Haasan's house to be taken over by government? Official notice stirs speculations

Kamal Haasan has made a massive comeback to cinema after four years with 'Vikram' on of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema and in his career. The film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has music by Anirudh and costars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil among others.

Meanwhile there is a buzz in social media that Kamal's house is being taken over by the government and a notice has been sent to him. However it has come to light that a notice has indeed been sent but it is a request for acquisition of a part of the premises.

The phase two of the Metro Rail construction is happening in various parts of the Chennai city and the Alwarpet station is coming up near Kamal's residence. It is reported that CMRL is in need of 170 square feet in Kamal's premises and the notice has been sent in this regard.

The famous Alwarpet residence is where Kamal grew up right from childhood and now it a major part of it is houses the offices of Raaj Kamal Films International and Makkal Needhi Maiam.
