Kamal Haasan has made an appointment with Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to discuss the Cauvery issue and on his way to Bengaluru spoke to newsmen.  To the question regarding Rajinikanth's statement that Tamil Nadu would become a cremation ground if people protest for anything and everything, Kamal was quick to reply that it is Rajini's personal view and he had different opinion about it.

Kamal stated that he was the disciple of Mahatma Gandhi who taught the world how to protest and people of Tamil Nadu will and should never stop protesting.  The actor turned politician said that he is proud of the Sterlite protestors who showed their chests bravely to police guns that killed them.

Kamal was of the opinion that Sterlite violated many legal procedures and made many mistakes, however he said that the protestors should also reduce the amount of violence in future.
