The Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan is on a whirlwind tour of Tamil Nadu in his initial campaign for the General Elections 2021. In his previous meets in South Tamil Nadu there was a good turnout for his meetings and the same was in evidence in Kancheepuram today.

Kamal speaking to newspersons has revealed his 7 promises to the people of Tamil Nadu if voted to power. The first agenda of the MNM is to bring internet to all the houses in the state, speedy governance by hundred percent computerization, making villages self-sufficient by providing all amenities present in urban areas, promoting entrepreneurship, abolishing the poverty line and instead bring the people above the prosperity line and also instating a separate department to take care of the greenery in the state.

Perhaps the most interesting promise that Kamal has made is salary for housewives or rather homemakers. The actor turned politician has also explained that it is very much a possibility of providing stiffened to the unsung heroes (heroines) of the household and experts and economists have charted out a plan as well.
