Kamal Haasan the epitome of acting in Indian cinema made his debut in 'Kalathur Kannamma' as a five-year-old and the film was released on 12th August 1959. To commemorate the 61st year of the legend enthralling the audience director Arvid Sridhar of 'Simba' movie fame has come up with a new cover version of the famous 'Potta Padiyudhu' song from Kamal's 'Sathya' movie.
Lokesh Kangaraj the hardcore Kamal fan has released the video and has written "I take immense joy and pride in wishing Kamal Haasan sir on 61years of kamalism. I'm honored to release the "REBEL ANTHEM” a location-based cover of the 1987 classic song "POTTA PADIYUDHU" from SATHYA created by “SIMBA” director Arvind Sridhar as a tribute. Kudos".
It is well known that Lokesh Kanagaraj's inspiration in cinema is Kamal and has in fact signed a new movie for the Raj Kamal Films International banner which will have Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead. Shooting is expected to start after the coronavirus pandemic ends.
Meanwhile Lokesh's next movie 'Master' costarring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi is ready for release and will hit the screens as soon as normalcy returns which could be in early 2021,
