Kamal Haasan, post the sensational success of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Vikram' joined the sets of his long delayed 'Indian 2' from last week. Currently director Shankar is canning important flashback sequences set in the 1920s and Kamal is reportedly appearing as he father of Senapathy.

It is said that the 'Indian 2' is not only a sequel to the original 1996 blockbuster hit but also a prequel that traces the origins of Senapathy the Indian thaatha. Kajal Aggarwal is also featuring prominently alongside Kamal in these portions.

A new BTS photo of Kamal working with makeup artistes for his getup in the 1920s portions has gone viral on the internet. The most noticeable aspect is the handlebar moustache that the Ulaganayagan is sporting to play the early nineteenth century revolutionary.

'Indian 2' is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies with Anirudh scoring the music an Ravi Varman handling the camera. The ensemble cast comprises of Kamal, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram and Samuthirakani.
