Kamal Haasan, who was occupied with the Lok Sabha elections and Bigg Boss 3 commitments last year, started shooting for his most expected movie 'Indian 2' ('Bharateeyudu 2' in Telugu) last year after the movie was initially launched in January 2019 and a few scenes were shot.  The film's several schedules were shot in Rajasthan and Hyderabad.  After this, Kamal had to take a break from the shoot due to a surgery.  

It has been said that the actor will be resuming shoot from February. The team will begin shooting at EVP film city in Chennai for a 35 days schedule.  This schedule is also said to have scenes for Priya Bhavani Shankar, who is said to be playing the role played by Suganya in Indian. 

Produced by Lyca Productions, the vigilante drama, directed by Shankar, also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek, and Bobby Simha.  Its music is by Anirudh.
