Kamal Haasan who has begun his ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ political party has stated in a recent interview that he will contest in the upcoming elections save the Thirvarur and Thirparankundram constituencies. It has been the norm for any party to test the waters in a by-election before delving into general polls. But Kamal’s decision has been considered different.

Anyways, Minister Jayakumar has stated that Kamal Haasan is not going to contest in any elections. “It’s a matter of concern only if we say actor Kamal is contesting in elections. It isn’t a matter of importance if one says he will not contest the elections. Kamal fears election. He’s not going to contest in any elections,” Jayakumar said.

Talking about Vishal’s political entry, Jayakumar stated that politics is a big ocean and anybody can fetch a cup full of water from it. “Why will we object to Vishal entering politics. Vishal has no authority to say that the ruler hasn’t done anything yet so far,” minister Jayakumar said.
