Kamal announces cash relief to Usha's kin

The news of three month pregnent Usha losing her life hit by a van following a Trichy police official’s kick has brought sorrow and grief to the state’s masses. She was with her husband during the incident. The husband however survived the harrowing incident with injuries for whcih he is currently undergoing treatment.
Kamal Haasan talking at his Makkal Needhi Maiam Women’s Meet in light of International Women’s Day has announced a cash amount of Rs.10 lakh towards Usha’s bereaved family. It is also noteworthy here that Kamal had earlier called Usha’s huband to condole and give him moral support.
