Since the begining of his party Makkal Needhi Maiam, Kamal has tried bringing in innovative approaches for making the society better. One such idea was the creation of Maiam Whistle app which lets you register your complaints and necessary steps will be taken to rectify the same.

And the first complaint that has been registered with the app was regarding a industrial pollution problem in Anakaputhur for which Kamal’s team has taken steps. He took to his social page to register his opinion on the same. 

Stating that his party was not anti-industry, he also asked the government to set up an effluent treatment plan. “While business shouldn;t die, ppl shouldn’t die either,” he stated.Here's his tweet below:
