Balaji Sakthivel, who gave us an amazingly realistic movie ‘Kadhal’, has done it again albeit with a different treatment in ‘Kalloori’. “Please forget Kadhal and come with a fresh mind”, warns the director. ‘Kalloori’ too is a realistic poignant venture like ‘Kadhal’, but in a different manner, claims the director.

S Pictures’ ‘Kalloori’ has a lot of newcomers including Akil, who plays the lead role. The boy is not your typical cinematic college guy. You can’t trace even a single trait of cinematic appearance in his face and body language.

Reason? Balaji has told him not to act. Surprise? But that is Balaji for you. He wants everyone appear and behave naturally in his film that has realism as its essence. He has asked everyone to be natural, forgetting that they appear before the camera.

The approach has created wonders, the insiders say. The film has come out amazingly different, they claim.

‘Kalloori’ will hit the screens by the first week of December.
