Noted photographer and designer Shahid Datawala in his latest artwork captured Kalki Koechelin in abstract photoshoot based on the concept 'Each still, like a chord'.

The 'Dev D' actress is seen in a series of black-and-white photographs which according to Datawala are metaphors to portray the complex nature of human mind.

On why he chose Kalki, Datawala in an interview stated, "I didn't choose Kalki because she is a Bollywood actress. She has this strong persona in the industry."

"Even with the films she chooses, she plays a very specific, challenging character, which I find interesting," added Datawala, who is also a furniture and occasionally jewellery designer.

Kalki was recently seen in 'Margarita With A Straw' and 'Happy Ending'. She next has 'Mantra' opposite Shiv Pandit.
