Rahul Ramakrishna's character is madly in search of the truth. Who killed Sekhar Babu? The entire village is clueless, or maybe, just frightened. In comes Kalki (Dr. Rajasekhar), focussed and determined to crack the mystery.

The Trailer for 'Kalki' makes sure that we expect a murder mystery and an investigative thriller. Director Prasanth Varma of 'AWE' fame sets the story in the 1983 Telangana.

If you thought the film is just about investigation and action, heroism and villainism (Ashutosh Rana is fearsome in the role of a village lord), you are wrong. There is comedy and even Rajasekhar's (reimagined as Angry Star) dialogue delivery style is said to be refreshing.

There are many characters. If Charandeep plays a cop, new actor Krishna Chaitanya has a fearsome role. Nanditha Swetha plays a Muslim girl, while Rahul Ramakrishna is a journalist. Adah Sharma, Poojitha Ponnada and Scarlett Mellish Wilson (to be seen in 'Horn OK' song) are the other main actors.

Siddu Jonnalagadda, Nasser, Shatru, Jayaprakash, Venugopal, Vennela Ramarao, DS Rao, Amith Sharma and Sathish (Bunty) are part of the cast.

Dasaradhi Shivendra's cinematography captures the rural environs. Shravan Bharadwaj's BGM is modish. The story is by Sai Teja and screenplay is by Scriptsville.

The awaited film releases on June 28.
