Recently to an online media, Kalidas Jayaram the budding young star of Mollywood and Kollywood told that Mammootty is like their family member. Kalidas Jayaram is the son of Actors Jayaram and Parvathy. He started his acting career as a child artist through a Malayalam movie directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The actor is making a comeback to Malayalam movies through Abrid Shine`s upcoming movie Poomaram`. He already marked his presence in Kollywood with two films; the second film Meenkuzhambum and Manpaanayum is all set to release.

Kalidas opened up his mind to the question raised by the reporter. He said that he is very much close to Mammootty and even seeks his advice regarding academic matters. Mammootty was the one who advised to join for Visual Communication in Chennai Layola College. Whenever Mohanlal film is released he makes it a point to watch it in first day itself. Recently he saw Pulimurugan, and he watched it the first day itself.
