Yesterday, actor Dhanush's second directorial venture, tentatively titled 'D50', commenced shooting. The film, produced by Sun Pictures and written by Dhanush himself, is slated to be a revenge drama set in north Chennai. While the official cast and crew announcements are yet to be made, there have been reports of actor Kalidas Jayaram playing a significant role in the film.

Kalidas Jayaram, who was last seen in Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, confirmed his participation in 'D50'. Sharing a picture from the caravan, he posted on social media, accompanied by the background music of a song from Dhanush's 'Pudhupettai'. The film, speculated to be titled 'Raayan', is expected to feature SJ Suryah and Sundeep Kishan as Dhanush's brothers, with Dushara playing their sister. It is said to be a gripping gangster drama.

In addition to 'D50', Kalidas Jayaram is also part of the highly anticipated film 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Haasan.
