Goddess Kali effect was seen on one way or the other on the team members of ‘Maha Kaali’ Kannada cinema. Actress Malashri, producer Ramesh Kashya, director S Mahender explained the effect of ‘Goddess Kaali’ at the shooting schedule one by one. One of the team members was seriously hurt. The starting and ending trouble for the film once made the team to change the title.

Prayers, Homas and sacrifices was held for the shoot of the film. Still two songs are balance says Ramesh Kashyap hoping for good.

Malashri for the first time surprised her husband Ramu in the house by saying ‘I am not going to shoot’. There was vibration throughout the shoot and starting trouble was always there for the shoot so far recalls Malashri. The heart beat was going fast on all days of shooting. We held Pooja at Sri Chamundi Hills and then commenced shoot. Remove ‘Kaali’ was the suggestion given remembers Malashri. Malashri gave up eating non vegetarian throughout the schedule of this film.

Taking up ‘Maha Kaali’ in my home there was negative approach remembered director S Mahender. Mahender also had a rare mark on his back that stayed for a few days. When I did ‘Karpoorada Gombe’ Hamsalekha said don’t keep that title, when I took up ‘Kaurava’ the same statement was made. This is the third film of my career facing such feedback.

Cutting a sacred lemon, sacrificing animals for good of shooting was regular for producer Ramesh Kashyap also felt ill for some days. He went to temple to perform Homas.
