Sundar C`s Chandrakala` was a horror-comedy that went on to get audience`s laurels in Telugu as much as in Tamil. Aranmanai 2, the film`s sequel, is set for release on Jan 29 in Tamil. The dubbed version's rights have been acquired at a premium price by Sarvanthram Creations and Good Cinema Group (of 'Ee Rojullo', 'Romance' fame) and the same has been titled as 'Kalavathi'

The film stars Siddharth, Trisha, Sundar C, Hansika Motwani, Poonam Bajwa, Soori and others. Hiphop Tamizha has composed the music.

"We are very confident that the film will shake up the BO. We will promote our film aggressively. The audience will be mesmerized by the wonderful graphic. Kalavathi is twice as entertaining as Chandrakala. Hiphop's music will be released in the third week of this month," the makers said.

The Telugu version stands a good chance of getting good openings thanks to the presence of Siddharth and Trisha.
