Kalavani 2 trailer review - A Rural flavor to election fever

The trailer of 'Kalavani 2' directed by Sargunam and starring Vemal and Oviya has just been released and gives the impression of being a rural-flavored comedy that takes on politics in the suburbs. The opening itself is impressive with Vemal citing the fact that Irom Sharmila who was on a fast for sixteen years fighting for social justice secured only 700 votes and declaring that politics is not for the good people but rogues.
The cuts show the colorful dance and festive moods in villages during the local body elections and Oviya delivers the punch that Vemal with his initials AMR could well be successful in politics like MGR in Tamil Nadu and NTR in Andhra. The hot pair Oviya and Vemal from the original 'Kalavani' look great in this sequel and they have Ganja Karuppu and Saranya Ponvannan to give them company as well. Looks like Sargunam has got it right in this sequel and could well emerge as a dark horse in the summer race judging from the just over one minute clip.
