In the upcoming comedy entertainer 'Kalapuram', Satyam Rajesh (a choosy artist who has played comedy roles and supporting roles over the years) plays a passionate rookie filmmaker who wants to make a film that can change his fate. He crosses paths with a rich man who seems to be into shady deals. The mood turns towards a crime-meets-comedy mode.

"You need both talent and luck to make a film," says the hero. There is a parodic Godman whose character is influenced by Swamy Nithyananda's antics. Set in a small village, the film's scenes range from comical to serious. There is also a reference to biting reviews that can kill the makers.

Also starring Sanchitha Poonacha, Kaashima Rafi, Chitram Seenu, Praveen Yendamuri, and Janardhan, the film is slated to hit the screens on Aug 26.

Scripted and directed by Karuna Kumar, the film is produced by Zee Studios and R4 Entertainments.

Mani Sharma's music, Prasad GK's cinematography and SB Raju Talari's editing are looking good.
