‘Oor Sutri Puranam’ is the film that is being directed and produced by Kalanjiyam. Kalanjiyam has said that he has incurred a loss to the tune of rupees one crore because of the delay caused by Anjali’s absence. The director reveals that Anjali has shot just for 12 days for his film and she has to shoot for another 20 days to complete her part in the project. The director has lamented that he has complained about this to many associations but no action has been taken. However the director is certain that he will not allow her to act in any other film until she completes her commitment for his film.

Kalanjiyam has pointed to Nayanathara who is acting with Silambarasan in ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’. The director says she has forgotten the past bitterness she had with the actor and accepted the role respecting the script. The director said that Anjali should learn this kind of professionalism from Nayanthara.

Perhaps as an indirect retort to the director’s claims Anjali has sent a press release in which she has stated that “No one can stop my shoots as I have not committed any mistakes”.
