Dhanush's latest film, "Raayan", has taken Kollywood by storm, smashing box office records and earning widespread critical acclaim. The gangster revenge saga, which marks Dhanush's 50th film as an actor and his second directorial film, has quickly become a blockbuster hit. Recently, the makers felicitated the film's crew and treated them with a feast.

In recognition of the film's success, producer Kalanithi Maran congratulated Dhanush today, presenting him with two cheques - one for his role as the film's lead actor and another for his directorial work. Sun Pictures officially announced the gesture, sharing a photo of Maran handing over the cheques to Dhanush. The image has since gone viral on social media, generating a huge buzz among fans.

"Raayan" has become the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024 and setting a new record as the top-grossing A-rated Tamil film of all time. The movie boasts a star-studded cast, including SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, and Dushara Vijayan. The film's soundtrack, composed by AR Rahman, has also received widespread praise. Kalanithi Maran is expected to soon extend his congratulations to Rahman with a similar gesture.
