'Kalakalappu 2' and 'Nachiyaar' box office verdict

The strike that has stopped the new Tamil film releases for the past couple of weeks shows no signs of reaching an end. As the strike continues the footfals to the theaters have drastically reduced as there are no new releases. However Tamil films 'Kalakalappu 2' and 'Nachiyaar' are still attracting considerable amount of audience to the movie halls across Chennai. 

'Kalakalappu 2' is still being retained in 13 screens and it has had 217 shows screened over the weekend. The film has collected Rs.20,83,467 in this weekend with 85% occupancy on an average. The total collections of the film in Chennai has gone over Rs.4.5 crores (Rs.4,54,74,421). The film directed by Sundar.C has been declared a Super hit. 

On the other hand 'Nachiyaar' directed by Bala has achieved the 'Hit' stats with collection going above Rs.4.4 crores (Rs.2,47,18,418). Ovr the weekend the film collected Rs.13,55,031 with an average of 70% occupancy for 111 shows in  12 screens across Chennai.
