Talented actors – Kalaiyarasan and Vani Bhojan are playing lead roles in the upcoming ZEE5 web series titled ‘Sengalam’. The official trailer of the show landed on the internet today and intrigued the audience. Directed by SR Prabhakaran, it is touted to be the first political web series in Tamil.
The 2.5-minute-long video shows that Sengalam is set in the backdrop of Virudhunagar district’s local politics. The series will depict the dark nature of ground-level politics in the region. The trailer promises an interesting crime thriller drama with powerful characters and impactful dialogues. Sengalam is coming to ZEE5 on March 24.
The show’s synopsis read, “To take revenge, Rayar and his two brothers are on a ruthless killing spree. At the same time, a family ruling Virudhunagar corporation for 40 years is facing turmoil and their throne is being challenged.” Sengalam has music by Dharan with visuals by Vetrivel Mahendran and editing by Don Bosco.
The ensemble cast of Sengalam comprises Vani Bhojan, Kalaiyarasan, Sharath Lohistashwa, Viji Bhairavi Chandrasekhar, Shali Nivekas, Manasha Radhakrishnan, Vela Ramamoorthy Bucks, Muthu Kumar, Daniel Annie Pope, Arjai, Pawan, Prem, Gajaraj, Pooja Vaidhyanathan and others.
