Producer C.V.Kumar's 'Adhey Kangal' released on the Republic Day holiday and has been doing well in the box office thanks to positive word of mouth generated by the content.

The film star's Kalaiyarasan as the male lead who comes as a visually impaired person in the initial portions. The film also has a few other characters of blind persons and these characters are integral to the story. The film also carried some insights about how they do things and lead their lives without the eye sight.

To further underscore their special regard for the visually-challenged persons, the makers conducted a special screening of the film for a group of visually impaired students in Chennai.
