The Lyca Production house is making strong imprints in Tamil cinema as they are currently producing Tamil cinema's most expensive film '2.0' with Superstar Rajinikanth and director Shankar. They have also announced a project with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan.

Now the latest news doing rounds in Kollywood circles is that the big ticket production house has purchased the distribution rights of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Theri' directed by Atlee. It is worth recalling that Lyca entered film production business with Vijay starrer blockbuster 'Kaththi' directed by A.R.Murugadoss.

Kalaipuli.S.Thanu the producer of 'Theri'. has however vehemently denied the reports of Lyca taking over 'Theri' as nothing but mere rumor. "Please report that the talks linking Lyca with Theri is a rumor which is 200% false". This was the first reaction when the Indiaglitz correspondent contacted Thanu to confirm the news.

Starring VIjay, Samantha, Amy Jackson and a host of popular actors,'Theri' is getting ready to hit the screens on April 14, 2016 as a Tamil New Year treat.
