Many celebrities are donating funds to the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund of the State of Tamil Nadu to hep in overcoming the ongoing pandemic. Recently Vijay Sethupathi also donated a generous amount directly to the CM.
Following him famous producer Kalaipuli S Thanu met the Chief Minister in person and handed over a check for Rs 10 lakhs as a small gesture on his part to assist the state in its efforts to help the citizens.
He recently wrote a passionate letter to MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, congratulating him for his honest efforts to improve the lives of people in the state amid such a critical and challenging moment. Along with this letter, he has attached a cheque for Rs.10,00,000
In his letter he stated "Having completed the first month of rule in the Great Depression your speedy walk, prudent decision and restless fieldwork will make the nation look back. Your vision for the rapid development of Tamil Nadu and the schemes you have created for the marginalized people who have lost their livelihoods due to the impact of the epidemic will give you and your descendants longevity with fortitude and morale. To your charitable thinking, I have attached the draft for Rs 10 lakh as my small contribution. My heartiest congratulations to you."
On behalf of the Tamil film industry, Kalaipuli Thanu also requested the Chief Minister to help the people from the industry who are striving hard to make ends meet.
