The five time former CM of Tamil Nadu Karunanidhi passed away yesterday at 6.10 pm. The demise of the DMK leader has the state into shock and grief. His mortal remains are kept at Rajaji Hall where eminent personalities from politics, film and general public are paying their last respects.
The latest update is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Rajaji Hall and paid his last respects to the DMk supremo. He was also seen consoling Stalin, Kanoimozhi and Rajathi Ammal. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the defence minister Nirmala Seetharaman. TN Governor Bunwarilal Purhoit and Tamilisai Soundararajan were also present. Modi left after paying his homage to the DMK patriarch.
