Dance choreographers Kala and her youngest sister Brinda are two of the most prolific personalities in South Indian cinema. They have choreographed super hit dances for almost all the big heroes in the four languages and also in Hindi.
We caught up with the sisters for an exclusive interview in which they shared hitherto unknown information not only about their craft but also their personal views of the top stars. On the topic of who are the best and worst dancers in the South without any hesitation, they named Thalapathy Vijay as the only one who okays difficult moves in a single take.
They also revealed that one actor who never could dance how much ever they tried to train him. They refused to call the much trolled K.Bhagyaraj a bad dancer but opined that he does it in his style. Similarly, they also stated that Mammootty contrary to popular beliefs is a good dancer.
Kala and Brinda have come up in the industry through sheer hard work and have faced many hurdles. In our video, they have opened up on the humiliations that were meted out on them. According to them, producers refused to give chance to them citing their dark skin and they were denied work also because of male domination in the industry at that time.
