Debutant director Ramesh Prabhakaran has done the mistake of all those who does while remaking the film. He has blindly followed the seven years old subject that had come in Malayalam to Kannada. A remake of `Chikkkathu Chanthu' story of Rafi Mecartin (played by Jayasurya, Bhavanana and Navya Nair) is too protracted and besides scissors needed some fresh outlook.

The imaginary writing by `Kal Manja' has resemblance to Vasumathi living in a far off place. On knowing the contents in the letter Vasumathi comes looking for Kal Manja in shock. When she is about to disclose her identity she knows it is for time pass Kal Manja has written he letter. She does not disclose that she resembles his story. To escape the jaws of the death from cruel family members Vasumathi run away to Bangalore but her hope dashes again and again. When Kal Manja meets the director with his story the conclusion what Vasumathi gives baffles everyone and from this Kal Manja is happy.

As expected the turn of events takes place. Vasumathi is kidnapped and kept in a bungalow. She is considered as bad omen and her signature is needed for family members to usurp the property in her name.

The team of Kal Manja in the film unit comes forward to help Vasumathi and enact a ghost drama.

Komal Kumar in a full length role should take a full length comedy role. He has an image of comedy hero. He should maintain it instead of dancing and crying. His obesity comes in the way of his acting.

Udayatara in her tearjerker role is OK. Aishwarya Nag should have got more opportunities. She looks beautiful.

Emil has swallowed the lyrics in his music and not allowed any one song to remain in the memory. Kaviyarasu lighting is a problem in capturing the shots.

Score - 5/10
