'Kaka' Radhakrishnan passes away

‘Kaka' Radhakrishnan, popular for his performances as a comedian and character artist in more than 400 films, passed away in Chennai on Thursday. He was 86 and is survived by two wives, Visalakshi & Saradambal, three sons and five daughters.

According to sources close to the actor's family, he was suffering from breathing discomfort for the past few months. He was given treatment for his ailment for some time. Last week, he recovered to some extent and was discharged from the hospital.

However on Thursday (June 14) evening, he again suffered from suffocation in the noon time and breathed his last.

Radhakrishnan is popular among film buffs of more than five generations. He was part of many Kamal Haasan starrers, including 'Guna', 'Thevar Magan' and 'Vasool Raja'.
