It's known that Bollywood dream girl Kajol is doing the Dhanush-starrer 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2'. The film also stars Amala Paul in the other lead role.

Now the film's director Soundarya Rajinikanth has officially confirmed that Kajol, who plays an important role of a suave businesswoman in the film, has completed shooting for her portions on Friday. This will be Soundarya's second directorial venture after 'Kochadaiiyaan'.

Kajol has so far acted in only on Tamil and that was the 1997 blockbuster 'Minsara Kanavu' ('Merupu Kalalu' in Telugu), directed by Rajeev Menon. 'VIP 2' will be the second Tamil film in her illustrious career.

Sean Roldon is the music director. Anal Arasu is the stunt master. 'VIP 2' is being produced as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual by V Creations banner of Kalaipuli S Thanu in association with Dhanush's Wunderbar Films banner.

'VIP 2' has been scheduled to hit the screens in the last week of July 2017.
