Kajal Aggarwal is the latest addition to the long list of celebrities, who have voiced their support to the cause of protecting animals.

Speaking at a recent PETA event to 'Ban Animal Circuses', she said, "I am happy to be associated with this cause. I truly believe that if all of us can make our kids aware of the kind of torture animals in circuses go through, we can work towards getting the Animal Welfare Board of India to ban using animals in circuses."

She added: "I am not someone who is too crazy about pets or animals - I don't have dozens of dogs at home or anything. But when I was approached for this and I saw the kind of abuse that these animals undergo, I instantly agreed."

"It was appalling to see the kind of confinements these animals were put in and the kind of torture they have to undergo in order to get a performance from them. Being an actor I know what it is like to perform and if it is not a natural thing, you are not supposed to do it. I am hoping that I can make a difference."
