Actress Kajal Aggarwal who will be appearing in Tamil screen after a gap of one and a half years with 'Maari' is keeping her fingers crossed. The film in which she has paired up with Dhanush is scheduled to release on July 17.

Now the young actress who was last seen in Tamil in 'Jilla' has opened up about the role she has essayed in 'Maari'. The 'Thuppakki' girl has said "I have acted as a fashion designer in Maari. Dhanush and I will be constantly quarrelling in the film and that will be fun to watch."

Kajal has also said that she is floored by Dhanush's simplicity despite his stardom.

'Maari' is the third directorial venture of Balaji Mohan and it has been produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner. Music has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander,

The film marks the acting debut of famous singer Vijay Yesudas as a police officer with negative shades.
