Kajal Aggarwal, who got married last year, is in the news for an interesting reason. The star actress has been roped in for a female-centric film. Titled 'Uma', this one will be helmed by Tathagata Singha. Producers Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal are going to produce it in Hindi. It seems the film will also release in Telugu and Tamil as dubbed versions.

Touted to be a slice-of-life movie, this one is expected to complete its shoot this year. "Looking forward to commencing Uma’s journey," Kajal wrote, sharing the news on Twitter.

On the work front, the 'Sita' and 'Kavacham' actress is doing Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan's 'Acharya', which will likely hit the screens in August. After the failure of 'Mosagallu' this March, the star actress is having to wait longer for a box-office hit due to the pandemic. After making a digital debut with 'Live Telecast', the damsel is looking at picking the right projects if OTT offers were to come her way in the future. The 'Paris Paris' diva is also looking forward to the release of 'Hey Sinamika', the Tamil-language romantic comedy starring Dulquer Salmaan as the hero.
