The Tamil Nadu Revenue department has been issuing Smart cards in place of Ration card for families coming under the public distribution scheme. The process which was planned long back has started only recently and just half of the families have been issues smart cards while the process is still on. 

Many families are getting wrong names and wrong images printed in the smart card. In one such instance the smart card of a woman family head named Saroja in Salem district carries the photograph of popular actress Kajal Aggarwal. When Saroja received the card she was shocked to see the heroine's image in place of her's/ 

PMK leader Dr.Ramadoss who has been criticising the Government on various issues has noted that many smart cards are being issued with photos of actors, trees etc due to the negligence of the Government staff. He has said it is not only wrong, but shameful too. 

We hope the issues are sorted out soon and such mistakes in the smart cards issued to people are rectified soon.
