The shooting of the ambitious 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar was progressing briskly for several months last year but came to a halt due to Kamal Haasan's surgery to his leg and the subsequent rest he was advised by the doctors. The next schedule will take off in February and major portions will be shot on Kamal and Kajal Agarwal.

It is already known that Kajal plays an eighty-year-old woman in 'Indian 2' similar to the Indian thaathaa character that Kamal is also playing. Now certain sources close to the team have revealed that Kajal is in fact playing a woman who opposes Kamal's Senapathy right from the young age to their old age as well. The sourced add that Kajal is, in fact, the main villain in the story even though there are several other baddies but we have to wait and see if this is official or mere speculation.

'Indian 2' produced on a grand scale by Lyca Productions has the ensemble cast of Kamal, Kajal Agarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth and Vivek. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music while R. Rathnavelu is handling the camera and A. Sreekhar Prasad the editing.
