Karthi's 'Kaithi' official trailer has been released and like the teaser promises a raw and gritty non stop action with a strong content at its core. 'Maanagaram' fame Lokesh Kanagaraj who is now better known as 'Thalapathy 64' director seems to ground his films in stark reality and explore deeper human emotions.  Here it looks like the protagonist Karthi playing an escaped convict and his antagonist Narain the cop share a common bonding which could test their resolves in the end.  Karthi towers as the grey character and even in these few minutes shows his skill of alternating between tender and ruthlessness.

'Kaithi' produced by Dream Warrior Pictures is unique as it has no heroine and events happen in one night.  George Mariyaan, Dheena, Ramana, Yogi Babu, Ponvannan and Thalaivasal Vijay are the others in the cast.  Music is by Sam C.S, editing by Philomin Raj and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.  The bottom line is Lokesh Kanagaraj hooks the viewer with his hard-hitting visuals and with Karthi as his spearhead is going to give tough competition to his 'Thalapathy's 'Bigil' come Diwali.
