Diwali 2019 has been a jackpot festival as far as Tamil cinema is concerned as both releases 'Bigil' starring Thalapathy Vijay and Karthi's 'Kaithi' have become blockbuster hits all over the globe.  According to the approximate collection reports for the ten days run 'Kaithi' has made a highly impressive rupees 73 Crores and is poised to touch the magical 100 Crores in the coming days.

'Kaithi' has taken rupees 34.2 Cr. from Tamil Nadu out of which 1.75 Cr. has come from Chennai city alone.  From the other states, Kerala accounts for 6.1 Cr., Karnataka 6.5Cr., Andhra 11Cr., North India 1.5Cr. and overseas 13 Crores.

'Kaithi' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures has been made on a budget of rupees 30 Crores is expected to make close to three times in its lifetime run and has made all concerned very happy.
