Karthi is back with a bang playing a tough role like child's play powering 'Kaithi' to blockbuster and cult classic status. Lokesh Kanagaraj has cemented his position as one of the most exciting filmmakers of the current generation raising expectations sky-high for his next venture 'Thalapathy 64'.

'Kaithi' has grossed an impressive rupees 40 plus crores in the first five days alone and is continuing with a lot of steam to double that figure in its total run. Chennai City has brought in - 1.75 Cr , Tamil Nadu - 19 Cr.,(5th day higher than 1st day), Kerala - 2.8 Cr., Karnataka - 3.4Cr., Andhra - 7.2 Cr., North India - 1.5 Cr., and Overseas - 6 Crores.

'Kaithi' produced by S.R. Prabhu under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures has cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, editing by Philomin Raj and music by Sam CS. The impressive cast that supported Karthi are Narain, George Mariyan, Dheena, Ramana and Arjun Das.
