Kamal Haasan-Suriya-Karthi combo in an unexpected mega project?

Pan Indian films seem to be the order of the day and while Tollywood gave ‘Baahubali’,  ‘Pushpa’ and ‘RRR” and Sandalwood the ‘KGF’ movies all eyes are now on ‘Vikram’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj to create the same magic worldwide.  The film has the powerhouse performers Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya in the cast.

Meanwhile there is a new buzz in Kollywood that Lokesh Kanagaraj after completing ‘Thalapathy 67’ will be making ‘Kaithi 2’ with Karthi in the lead reprising his role from the original film released in 2019.  Sources say that this will once again be a mega multistarrer with two more heroes joining the cast.

According to the buzz Kamal will be playing the gangster role from ‘Vikram’ in ‘Kaithi 2’ and Suriya will be playing Vikram from ‘Vikram’ in ‘Kaithi 2’.  A bit confusing right?  Well that is the information we are currently recieving though not authenticated by official sources.

It is said that Lokesh Kanagaraj like Hollywood films is trying to create his own universe with his characters from previous movies locking horns.  He has reportedly kept easter egg references to ‘Kaithi 2’ and even JD from ‘Master’ in ‘Vikram’.   Anyways he is more than capable of assembling any big name in his film and it will be a treat to watch Kamal, Suriya and Karthi in the same frame.  

It is also more or less confirmed that Suriya will be acting in ‘Vikram 3’ diected by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kamal Haasan as well.  Exciting time ahead for Tamil movie lovers.
