Prithviraj's upcoming movie with veteran director Shaji Kailas titled 'Kaduva' is one of the most awaited movies of Mollywood. The mass entertainer, which was announced in 2019, was supposed to go on floors sometime in June this year. Due to the novel coronavirus crisis, the film's shoot had to be postponed. But, it looks like the shooting of Kaduva is all set to begin soon.

On Sunday evening, Prithviraj shared the movie's new poster, revealing that the shoot will commence soon as it indicated through the hashtag 'rolling soon'. The poster gives a glimpse of Prithviraj's character in the movie and also highlights his name 'Kaduvakkunnel Kuruvachan'. Check it out -

'Kaduva' marks Shaji Kailas' return to cinema after a gap of eight years. Penned by Jinu Abraham, the movie is based on true incidents. Shaji and Prithviraj had earlier teamed up for Simhasanam, which hit the theatres in 2012. Jointly produced by Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames, the movie will have music by Thaman.

It is to be noted that the movie recently hit the headlines after Kaduva's writer Jinu approached the court alleging that there were similarities between his movie and Suresh Gopi's 250th movie (SG 250) which is to be directed by debutant Mathew Thomas.

The Suresh Gopi starrer also has the same character name and theme of 'Kaduva' which sparked controversy. Followed by this, the Kerala high court then ordered a stay on the shoot and promotional activities of the Suresh Gopi starrer.
