After  few movies that made a name for himself, director Sohanlal is back with a film that is quite impressive in its narrative structure. A movie that takes up energy from the three best read short stories of Malayalam , 'Palpayasam, Darussalam and Poovanpazham' , the movie is an interesting tale abut youths confused about their future and love

Kunchakko Boban is Raajkarthy, a short film maker getting ready to start shooting his first feature film. The only son of a divorced pareants , he is currently having a living together relationship with Jeena,(Bhama) a news anchor. Rajkarthy who doesn't believe much about the institution called marriage  is also not sure about their marriage plans. Jeena  is but pleading karthy to agree for marriage before her parents returns from abroad. Kaarthy has asked her to wait till his first film is over to give her a proper answer. As he moves on from his first story 'Poovanpazham' to his last in 'Palpayasam', Karthy  finds specific answers about realtionships that were for some time perplexing him.

The highlight of the movie is the best of the Mollywood short stories written by M T, Basheer and Madhavikutty, which are finely translated into films. The fine screenplay which skilfully integrates the shorts to tell its basic story is supported by an optimum direction by Sohanlal . Every one in the cast deliver fine performances with Kunchakko Boban coming up with a believable act. Bhama is likable while Rituparna sen guptha's  debut in a not in a demanding role that suits her stature.

The technical sides of the movie is good with T D sreenivas coming up with appreciable frames . The songs set by M Jayachandran are hummable . Set a  short time of 120 minutes, some may not get interested in the second story and some may not be impressed with the overall treatment of the gems of Mollywood..

All in all, this Kadhaveedu ,is an above average flick , which but will not create wonders at the box Office.
